Die Hard 4.0

I say fuck all the other sequels that hit the screens in 2007.
Die Hard 4 is the real deal. It's everything a Die Hard film should be and more.

First off, the movie you see in theatres is modified for a PG-13 rating unlike the earlier R-rated parts 1,2 & 3. The die hard DIE HARD fans are disappointed that the violence isn't bloody enough and the language, quite tame. There's definitely an unrated version around somewhere that will probably release as a special edition DVD.
That said, the script is not watered down for kids. Things keep blowing up and bodies are piling up all the time. This has to be the most violent PG-13 movie ever.

Bruce Willis, at 52, is the man. John McClane is way cooler than any spiderkid or pirate.

The action sequences- brilliant ! I wouldn't be wrong if I say the thrills are right up there with Terminator 2. There's two scenes that reminded me of Lost World and True Lies but I'll let that go because the rest of the movie is soo fuckin awesome.

If you watched any Discovery channel specials on Cyber Terrorism you know the entire plot already. The opening credits say
"Based on the article A Farewell to Arms by John Carlin". Don't expect the script to match the quality of the article but its not dumb either. I couldn't find any technical plotholes. In my medical opinion, every hacking related scene in the movie is plausible.

It's amazing how they stay true to the 19 year old Die Hard formula and still deliver a kickass movie in 2007.

John McLane+sidekick are pushed to the brink while taking on badass terrorist and henchmen amidst tons of explosions.

This is exactly how you make a sequel.

Die Hard 4.0 is highly reccommended for the
-Bruce Willis fan
-Die Hard series fan
-Action movie fan
-Geeks/Dystopian future/disaster movie fan
-Just about anyone in the mood for some good ol Hollywood style explosions and chases

A hugely satisfying genuine summer blockbuster.
Die Hard remains one of the best action franchises of all time.

Okay movie. Could've been much much more but its still pretty okay as it is.
Still miles ahead of all the gore/torture porn that is being passed off as horror.
Very watchable. Watch with friends. Argue over the ending. over a bottle of whisky. whatever floats your boat.
I'm going to bed.

if the good guy kills all evil henchmen in innovative ways and blows up the bad guys command center into oblivion, i think its definitely worth a watch.

censorship is telling a man he can't have a steak because a baby can't chew it.

oh and it must be said that torture porn like the SAW sequels and Hostel are incredibly stupid.

Jollyroger,

I'd have to say
1
3,4
2

If there's an unrated version of Die Hard 4, it'd be a strong contender for the top spot.
Welcome here and do keep visiting :)
