KING KONG - KING SIZE FUN

Okay, I thought the first post was hard. The second post is even harder. Hmm, what do I post now? No, I'm not gonna write about work, this blog is not exclusively about my escapades at work.

10 days since my first post... a lot of things have happened since then.. or haven't they?

Last weekend I watched King Kong. I can write a post about that. Good idea.

So here's a King Kong review or things I can say about King Kong in 10mins.

Loved it, inspite of some cliches here and there.

"Lets have a scene with a T-Rex attacking the heroine .. no, Spielberg did it in Jurassic Park.
Lets have a scene with two T-Rexes attacking the heroine.. nah, Spielberg did that too in Lost World.
Okay how about three T-Rexes, yeah , hasn't been done so far.. umm.. lets do that ! "

Overkill.

Jack Black was one character that stood out in this movie. He comfortably eases into the role as the passionate film maker good guy who later turns bad. He brings comic relief when required. If there was somethin to look forward to in this movie beyond King Kong and Naomi Watts, its him!!

Naomi Watts as Ann Darrow.. *Whistle* ;) Nice Work!

Adrien Brody was wasted, grossly miscast and really, any particular reason why anyone thought him fit for a role in a King Kong movie? Beyond my comprehension!
The relationship between him and Ann Darrow didn't progress one bit as the movie unfolded.

The Island: Yes, how can you forget? The Island is the most important character with maximum screentime in the movie. Not King Kong, not Naomi Watts, yes its the island with its numerous monsters and creepy crawlies and the extremely scary tribals( They got me! I almost jumped from my seat when I first saw them... I'm easily scared, I know!)

Hey lets not discount the excellent performances by all ..Naomi, Kong, Jack Black, CGI, 3D models and the Visual Effects Team Members.

Overall a lovely movie, well made.. offers your ticket's worth for the entire 3 hours.
Dont forget to take your kids along for this rollercoaster ride.
